Our client came to us with this Tipper that is used to transport sand on a regular basis which has caused to severe rusting to the Tray, Dropsides and Headboard. After reviewing the damage, it was decided a full rebuild would be the best route to go down, and so our team go to work!
The first job was cleaning off all of the remaining sand before our Technicians could begin taking off the Dropsides, rear Tailgate, and making a start on removing the floor. The old floor was completely taken off, giving way for the new 450 Hardox to be installed along with the plating the Headboard with the same Hardox.
The damaged sections of the Dropsides and Tailgate were cut out, plated and welded to give a seamless finish. The combing rails were been replaced, and the Mudguards have been rust treated, primed and painted along with the Tie Down Rails.
All of the rusted sections of the tray have been treated and etched, and the entire Floor, Headboard, Dropsides and Tailgate were primed ahead of paint. The Dropsides and Tailgate were re-attached, and the underside of the tray has been painted with Black Oxide.
The top side of the tray was also painted in the same Black Oxide, and all remaining areas have been given a freshen up with Isuzu white. All of the equipment and extras were re-installed onto the truck and it was given a last clean and wipe down ready for collection!
The Client came out to review the completed product, and was absolutely thrilled with the result. The entire Team have outdone themselves on this project and it shows with the finishes. A great outcome from start to finish, the truck is looking brand new!
