One of our clients came to us with a very well used Tipper Truck that resides on the coast, causing severe rusting throughout the deck, headboard, dropsides, underbody and much more. A couple of meetings with the team and one quote later, and the truck was in our workshop ready for a major facelift!
First things first, the tray had to come off the truck so we could start the refurb. The floor was cut out along with the side combing, before a length of C Channel underneath the tray was replaced.
The Dropsides, Rear Tailgate and Headboard were all sanded back, before new side combing was installed as well as a new Hardox floor. Part of the headboard was replaced with Hardox as it was beyond repair, and it was also raised for the new Retractable Tarp.
The rear air Tailgate section was replaced, and all of the sanded elements were rust treated and painted with Hammertone. Both the underbody and new flooring was painted with Red Oxide to prevent rust.
Next up was a fresh coat of white paint both inside and out for all Dropsides, Rear Tailgate, Passenger and Drivers side Combing, Rear and side Combing, and finally the Headboard.
Once all of the parts had dried it was time for assembly; our Technicians reinstalled all of the dropsides, moved the existing passenger side step further forward as requested. A brand new retractable trap was added to the headboard, and 3 more pull our steps have been installed for easier access.
The truck was then tested for operation, along with all of the moving parts. Our entire team had a hand in bringing this truck back to life and we are incredibly proud of their efforts! Our client is thrilled with the upgrade; the truck is looking almost as good as new!
