This was a big undertaking for the MRU Team but the results speak for itself!
When this client contacted MRU, his Boat Trailer was looking worse for wear and unroadworthy. With a few shorts weeks until his mother had to move homes, the need to repair the trailer was quite dire as it holds a cherished family heirloom, the “SEACREST”.
Our team sourced new tyres from a local supplier and installed them onsite at the clients home, before delivering it back to our workshop for the next stage. The Boat was carefully removed from the Trailer and stored here for the duration of the repair.
The areas covered in rust that were able to be saved have been treated, primed and painted. Some parts of the Trailer had untreatable rusting and so those areas have been replaced with new materials. The bearings and wheel nuts have been replaced as well as the Nylon Rollers & U-Bolts on the chassis.
A new Jockey Wheel has been installed on the trailer, as well as two Leaf Springs and the Brake line has been repaired, along with new Disc Pads have been installed for the mechanical brakes. Upon completion the Boat has been placed back onto the Trailer awaiting collection by one very happy customer!
