The steel posts have been fabricated neatly & precisely to ensure the finished product is of high quality. Specialised pieces include a Collapsible Base, Winch Mounting Plate, Gussets & a Solar Panel Frame. The Camera Mounts have been customised to fit the required cameras and an important detail is the Climbing Prevention Spikes. The Aluminium Enclosure has been created with a sloped lid, custom battery tie downs and will be secured with padlocks & covers.
The forms were created by our team inside a custom mould that was provided by Sapio. We sourced a local concrete business to come out to the workshop and pour the concrete into the mould with the help of our team.
The block was left in place for over a week to ensure it was ready for flipping! It includes mitred edges and 2 spaces along the centre for our forklift to move the base as needed.
Once we had the Concrete Block in place, our team was able to do the first assembly of the pole. Each piece was carefully placed into position giving us a rough idea of how the final product would come together.
All 3 Surveillance Cameras and the Solar Panel were mounted on the pole, and using the winch we were able to extend the top post and make any minor changes to the build as deemed necessary. The team from Sapio & Moreton Bay Regional Council attended the first major test run and at this point the green light was given for powder coating.
The next stage of the build was to disassemble the pole and send it off to a local powder coating company to get the Cottage Green colour that these poles are known for. Once this step was completed, our team got busy putting all of the parts back into place, mounting the pole to the concrete base and working with Sapio to install the Surveillance Cameras & Solar Panel.
This first CCTV Tri-Pole Post was installed a short distance from our workshop, so our team was happy to go along and observe the installation, even helping out to finish minor parts like sealing the Aluminium Enclosure.
We are extremely happy with the result and feel proud to be apart of a project that is aimed at combatting criminal behaviour in our region!
